A one off evening of comedy and discussion around men and mental health needs Mc'd by Jack Rooke
Thursday, 24 March 2016, 18:30 to 20:30
The Questors Theatre 12 Mattock Lane, Ealing, London W5 5BQ
Men’s mental health needs are often neglected or consigned to a few lines of banter at the pub. Explore our cultural expectations of men and how we can encourage help seeking, talking about feelings and building resilience to respond to difficult life events that affect emotional health. Join Like Minded and West London Collaborative for an evening of stand-up comedy, conversation and explorations of men’s emotional health and wellbeing. We will focus on why men are not currently getting support for emotional health such as depression and anxiety, why men are less likely to register with a GP or use talking therapies services, the overlap with physical health and how we can change for the better.
The event will also be in support of the Campaign Against Living Miserably
