Recruiting an independent chair

In the NHS in North West London, we are making sure that patients and the public are at the heart of everything we do. The eight clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) in North West London are responsible for ensuring that the 2.4 million residents’ healthcare needs are met as well as ensuring that the £3.5 billion this costs the public purse is spent well and transparently.

The eight CCGs are now working in a single management structure and are in the process of establishing a Joint Committee. The Committee will allow the CCGs to operate as one when making decisions on issues that cross borough and individual CCG boundaries. We need to ensure that in making changes, we make the right decisions, at the right level and in the right place.

We are looking to appoint an exceptional individual to chair the committee. Working closely with the Accountable Officer and senior clinicians, you will have the insight, tact and diplomacy to facilitate joint working across CCGs, to help us to achieve positive impacts on patient care. You will be fiercely independent and able to swiftly grasp and communicate complex issues that are of vital importance to local people. Above all, you will be passionate about healthcare and putting the needs of our patients and residents first.
