We are delighted to announce that, following an open recruitment and selection process, Jo Ohlson has been appointed as the new Accountable Officer for the North West London Collaboration of CCGs.

Jo was appointed yesterday by a panel including Dr Mohini Parmar Chair Ealing CCG, Lesley Watts SRO for the NW London Health and Care Partnership and Penny Dash Independent Chair NWL Health and Care Partnership.

As you may know, Jo is currently our Director of Commissioning. She has previously held senior roles at NHS England and Brent CCG. We believe Jo’s insight, leadership and experience will prove a huge asset the CCGs, both in leading our response to the covid-19 emergency and in the longer term, as we merge into a single organisation.

Jo will take over from Mark Easton, who leaves us at the end of this month. At a very challenging time for the NHS, her appointment has the added advantage of ensuring some continuity in CCG leadership.

Jo will take up the role later this month.

Jo Ohlson said:

“I am very much looking forward to leading and working with the North West London CCGs. Our immediate task is to deal with the developing public health emergency around covid-19. Going forward, we will be putting in place our single operating model and then merging the eight CCGs as part of an integrated care system.

“I know these are uncertain times for staff and I do appreciate the way in which our people have stepped up to deal with the covid-19 incident. There will be more challenging days ahead in what is a fast-moving situation, but if we all pull together and organise ourselves in the right way, I think we can achieve a great deal together in future.”
